Series 2: 3. Jam #23: Andy and the Odd Socks

YolanDa Brown and her house band, the Band Jaminals, entertain an audience of children - the Band Jammers - with live music and special guests.\n\nYolanDa gets everyone moving with the song Let Me See You, which is all about dancing and gets the Band Jammers hopping and swaying and ready to have fun.\n\nJoining YolanDa in this episode are Andy and the Odd Socks, starring CBeebies' very own Andy Day. Andy demonstrates how the band improvise and sometimes make up lyrics and songs on the spot.\n\nThe Fact Jam then explores improvisation in more detail, and we find out how improvisation is an important part of jazz music. \n\nAndy and the Odd Socks perform their empowering pop song Respect, before YolanDa and the Band Jammers invite them to join in with the Big Band Jam at the end of the programme.\n\nNext there's a short film that follows a group of Band Jammers as they explore the instruments and puppetry that make up the Indonesian gamelan.\n\nYolanDa and the Band Jaminals join in for the Big Band Jam as Andy and the Odd Socks perform their out-of-this-world hit Aliens About!
