Series 1: 3. Jam #3: Country Vibes

YolanDa Brown and her house band The Band Jaminals entertain an audience of children with live music and guests. YolanDa welcomes guest performers and UK country music stars The Shires. They explain that country music is simple music that tells stories and then invite the Band Jammers to help them write a brand new country song by choosing things that make them happy and sad. \n\nWhilst the Shires pull together their new country song, the Fact Jam explores more quirky facts about country music, about how it’s not just cowboys that listen to it and that some performers sell hundreds of millions of records. We also hear how the songs can have funny names like May the Bird of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose and I Like Bananas Because They Have No Bones.\n \nA short film follows a young boy as he combines his love of violin with dubstep music, and composer Nitin Sawhney explores what dubstep is.
