Over 25 years, Norman renovated an old farmhouse into a warm, family home, with his wife Maggie filling every nook and cranny with her collection of antiques. Three years ago, Maggie sadly passed away, and now her daughter Nina has decided to move into her late mother’s home to care for Norman in his old age.\n\nBut the home Maggie and Norman lovingly restored now needs repairs, and to fund the renovations, Nina has made the decision to auction off her mum’s vast collection. Auctioneer Izzie Balmer uncovers everything from art nouveau vases to gilded silver tea sets. The star find is a canvas by a celebrated Canadian artist, guaranteed to draw in bidders from around the world. Meanwhile, restorer Robin Johnson explores an outbuilding, where he rescues a ship’s compass that needs polishing and a church pew buried under cobwebs and bird droppings. Can he get these items ready in time for auction day in Aberdeen?
