It’s a race to empty a bungalow before new owners move in, but the one-storey is brimming with unique collections and rare items that could be worth a small fortune. \n\nSisters Claire, Kay and Catherine have made the upsetting decision to move their elderly mother into a care home, but with an annual fee of around £60,000, they need to sell their mum and dad’s former home to cover the cost. Still grieving after the recent loss of their father, clearing his belongings is proving emotional for the sisters. Their dad’s collection of transport memorabilia includes rare and unique items he spent a lifetime collecting, with box after box revealing hidden treasures.\n\nWith well over 100 maps, metres of railway track and countless bus collectibles, it’s full steam ahead for auctioneer Izzie Balmer, who faces the daunting task of sorting through it all in a single day. One discovery in the loft turns out to be a sought-after piece of memorabilia from a bygone age on the buses and one that will attract bidders keen to obtain a rare piece of history.\n\nRestorer Robin Johnson tackles a table that’s held together with sticky tape and string, although he fears it’s beyond repair. And a mid-century wardrobe needs a lot of love if the scratches are going to be fixed before auction day.
