The life of a football legend as told by those who make the pilgrimage to his family home. Diving into football fandom at its most heartfelt - and obsessive.\n\nNow lovingly restored in a style that captures the 1960s, when George was at the height of his fame, and open for tours and overnight stays, George Best’s childhood home at Burren Way on the Cregagh estate has become a place of reflection and reverence for football supporters from around the globe. This documentary captures the stories of those who travel from near and far - including visitors from Northern Ireland, Manchester, London, Wales, the USA, Germany and Australia - who all come to walk in the footsteps of their hero.\n\nWe hear deeply personal testimonies from fans like John and Christine from Manchester. For John, George Best was a boyhood hero. His visit to Belfast becomes a poignant farewell, culminating in an emotional moment at George’s graveside. Another moving portrait is that of Andrew Bowen, a self-proclaimed George Best superfan, who organises an annual ceremony at George’s grave on his birthday. Andrew retraces the star’s early steps by visiting Nettlefield Primary School where George’s story began.\n\nWe also hear from lifelong Manchester United fans Matt and Steve, who not only watched George Best play but had the rare opportunity to meet him in later years. They reflect on the impact George had on the club, sharing some of their favourite moments from his playing career. Newer fans and international visitors bring fresh perspectives on the cultural legacy of the man who transcended sport and inspired millions.\n\n
