Nils Dickman lives a quiet but happy existence in the Norwegian mountains, keeping the roads clear with his snowplough company and even winning a citizen of the year award. But when his son is murdered by a drugs gang in a case of mistaken identity he goes looking for revenge, vowing never to stop until he has found everyone responsible. His search for the killers unwittingly kickstarts a brutal gang war between local gangster 'The Count' and his Serbian rival 'Papa', with Nils caught in the middle.
