Lyn Walters has been infatuated with Australia ever since she travelled there as a young girl and now wants to move her family Down Under. But her husband Owen doesn’t share this Aussie obsession. He needs to be convinced that the realities of living in Australia are affordable and practical.\n\n\n\nMeet the Walters. Dad Owen, mum Lyn and a two year old aptly named Matilda! Ever since the couple met Lyn has known exactly what she wanted in life and that was to live in Australia. It’s a dream Owen has always known about but over the past few years the dream had taken a backseat as the couple started a family and settled down. But Owen knew it was only a matter of time before Lyn brought it back to the fore.\n\n\n\nFor Lyn the time to resurrect this idea of Australia has now arrived. The family need to make the move before Matilda has put down any of her roots at school, and before Lyn is too old for a visa. While Owen isn’t totally opposed to the idea he is a lot more level-headed when it comes to any possible move. He’s concerned about what – or rather WHO- they’d be leaving behind. Lyn knows any move away will tear at his heartstrings. Owen is very close to his parents who are now doting grandparents to Matilda. Lyn knows this is a stumbling block and is worried this might cloud his judgement on the trial week. She is desperate for him to give the trial week a fair go.\n\n\n\nOwen is prepared to do just that - so they are off for a week together to Perth and at the end of the seven days they will vote. To stay in the UK or totally make the move? But this is no done deal. Lyn’s heart is already there but is Owen’s closeness to home and family ultimately going to be the deciding factor?
