The Last Supper
The Rev Kate Bottley is in north Wales to mark the start of Holy Week by exploring the Last Supper – the final meal Jesus shared with his disciples that encapsulates so much of his life, death and resurrection – and what it means to Christians across the world. \n\nKate visits St Asaph Cathedral to see a remarkable modern sculpture helping people explore the meaning of the Last Supper. Kate meets its creator, artist Peter Barnes, and the cathedral youth group to learn how the sculpture is helping people of all ages engage with the themes of Holy Week. \n\nIn nearby Mold, Kate discovers an innovative photography project reimagining Da Vinci’s iconic painting of the Last Supper with the aim of opening up conversations about death and dying. \n\nWe also visit a church in Salford to see how their Sunday services are inspired by the Last Supper as they spread Jesus’ hospitality by eating a full meal together as part of worship. \n\nWith hymns old and new to reflect Holy Week. \n\n1.
