Nurse Franky lives with her large family in east London, bearing the physical and emotional scars of a traumatic fire in her childhood. Unable to build any meaningful relationship, she falls in love with one of her patients, Florence.\n\nFlorence has also had difficulties with her relationships and lives with her brother Jack in Southend. Here, Franky finds refuge and the confidence to move on with her life.
