Exe Estuary
Charlotte Smith and Adam Henson meet the communities working tirelessly to protect Devon’s Exe Estuary – a landscape so rich in beauty and natural resources that it draws people and wildlife to it all year round.\n\nCharlotte heads out on the water with the harbour master and meets a local birdwatcher who recently spotted a species not seen in Devon since 1985. Beyond the water’s edge, Adam joins a team at a brand new nature reserve, where dead wood is being used to boost biodiversity. Charlotte also investigates domestic abuse in rural communities, asking if we are still failing victims in the countryside.
