Joe Crowley and Adam Henson explore the Solway Coast, where ancient traditions and fragile wildlife are being carefully nurtured by those who call this borderland home.\n\nDividing England and Scotland, this dramatic stretch of coastline is rich in peatlands, dunes and salt marshes, where traditional farming meets modern conservation to protect its unique biodiversity.\n\nJoe joins some of the last remaining haaf netters in the tidal waters of the Solway Firth as their centuries-old technique faces an uncertain future. Could this be the end of the line for one of Britain’s oldest fishing traditions?\n\nMeanwhile, back on his farm in the Cotswolds, Adam has been putting his sheepdog Gwen through her paces ahead of the biggest event in the trialling calendar.
