Tokyo 2025: Day 1 Highlights
Sarah Mulkerrins presents highlights from the first day of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, with medals being handed out in the men and women’s 35km walks, the men’s shot put and the women’s 10,000m. And after winning bronze at the Paris Olympics last summer, the British mixed 4 x 400m relay team will be hoping to get onto the podium again. \n\nWe’ll also see the fastest men and women in the world, including defending Olympic champions Noah Lyles and Julien Alfred as well as Dina Asher-Smith and Zharnel Hughes, in action in the 100m heats.
