Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.\n\nFirst in today is Claire, who has brought in some antique weighing scales. She believes they used to be in a chemist's in Leeds, but they have remained in fairly immaculate condition over the years. Will any of our dealers weigh in with heavy enough bids?\n\nGary is in next, with some very interesting finds made for the tourist market. He bought the replica birthing and spinning chairs online, refurbished them and has had them tucked away ever since. He has brought them to Edinburgh HQ, hoping to give them a new lease of life.\n\nNext up to face the dealers is Shantal, with a pair of vases that even have Simon a bit puzzled. They have a unique design and a multitude of uses, but will any of our dealers see a way of utilising them?\n\nFourth in is chef Michael. He’s hoping to cook up a storm in the room with his lightning rods. They have been part of Michael’s life for a very long time but have only recently come into his personal possession. Our very own mistress of metal, Melissa, is in the room today – but will any of the other dealers try and strike a deal? \n\nOur final seller is David with a collection of miniature lifebelts. Made by ship crew members as a memento to sell on, they were quite popular in the 1940s. He was gifted the collection, but they have been in the loft since he got them. He’s hoping to be able to rope in one of our dealers and get himself a good price.\n\nThe dealers today are Melissa, James, Viki, Jon and Jo.
