Series 7: 6. Lambs, Crops and Chicken Pox
Sally is in the thick of lambing on her croft in Caithness, where unseasonal weather is taking its toll. She loses three lambs in one day and has to call out the vet for a ewe that has had a difficult birth. Meanwhile, her son William comes down with chicken pox.\n\nHot off the heels of lambing his dad’s sheep, it’s the turn of Nick’s easy-cares - but it turns out to be far from easy. Bad weather means vulnerable newborns need to be brought inside, which is not good for this breed.\n\nIn Fife, Jo and Andy decide to dig up 100 acres of failed wheat, which they resow with oats. And it’s the start of showing season as they select their finest North Cheviot tups, ewes and lambs for the whole family to compete at their local show.
