2024: 3. Southern Heat: Crofton Park
We head to sunny south London and the remarkable Rivoli Ballrooms, a world-famous venue that’s dripping in original vintage décor. Designed by Henley Attwater in 1913, it’s one of the last 1950s style ballrooms in the country. Five brand new acts take to the stage in front of a packed house of more than two hundred comedy lovers.\n\nAward-winning comedian Laura Smyth is the host, and joining her are the three judges – Mexican-born stand-up Lara Ricote, Motherland writer Holly Walsh and head judge, Babatunde Aleshe. \n\nMuhsin Yesilada, Maia Tassalini, Limahl Germain, Alfie Packham and Frankie Thompson each perform their set before the judges decide who will go through to the grand final. There can only be one winner, so who will it be?
