The Three Rivers Race, Europe's toughest inland sailing competition, takes place each year on the Norfolk Broads. Over 100 competitors have to navigate 50 miles of the Bure, Ant and Thurne rivers with the task of completing this test of boatmanship, stamina and skill within the 24-hour time limit.\n \nJoe Crowley joins the teams at the Horning Sailing Club as they get ready for the start. Once the race is underway, Joe follows competitors throughout the day as they sail across the historic Broads, navigating tight waterways and multiple bridges, whilst battling against the tide, currents and weather.\n\nJoe also dips into the Countryfile archives to look at the history and nature of the area, and meets those who live, work and play on the Broads.
