For the first time ever, animals and antiques come together in a pet-themed extravaganza to celebrate the RSPCA’s 200th anniversary. The red and blue teams are joined by their pet pooches, dressed in miniature Bargain Hunt fleeces, as they sniff out some bargains at Shepton Mallet antiques fair in Somerset. Presenter Christina Trevanion is top dog, while experts Caroline Hawley and Thomas Forrester try to keep the teams and their pets in check.\n \nOn the red team, Matt and Georgie are joined by their spaniel Sprocket, but within a few minutes she wants to ‘paws’ for a lie-down! Meanwhile, Val and Rachael on the blue team are hoping that Jack the Jack Russell will be their secret weapon. He enjoys showing off his doggy agility skills to explain the rules of the game, but can he help his owners find a piece of ‘bone’ china for their challenge?\n \nThen it’s off to Chippenham, where auctioneer Tim Weeks introduces his black and white collie Roxy, before getting on the rostrum to sell our teams’ lots. But this time, the reds and blues aren’t just battling for golden gavel glory. Their pets are hoping to walk away with the ultimate prize – a golden bone! \n\nChristina also visits the RSPCA’s West Hatch Animal Centre in Taunton to learn about their life-saving work with pets and wild animals, and to find out how the organisation was founded two centuries ago.
