Insurance cheats come under the spotlight of the investigators. Today, a traveller stranded abroad during the pandemic is caught out when the fraud detectives discover the fancy five-star hotel he claimed to have stayed at was closed due to Covid. A motorist involved in a crash is prepared to put himself under the knife for a pay-out, while a grieving wife claiming a life insurance pay-out following the sad death of her husband is exposed as a liar when police discover he’s still alive and working at a London hospital. A cabbie has a prang at traffic lights but tries to take his insurers for a ride by exaggerating his injuries, and a doctor is struck off after the medical reports he provided to back up claims for holiday sickness are discredited.
