Jules Hudson and Nicki Chapman visit former Escape to the Country house-hunters to find out what happened next with their planned country moves. Jules is in North Yorkshire with a couple whose 2011 property search left them torn between two beautiful rural homes. Nine years on, he finds out which of the two edged it, and he discovers that they didn’t waste a second in making a home fit for the 21st century. Over on the Welsh border, Nicki enjoys a reunion with a couple who were seeking a property that offered both period charm and modern convenience in which to live out their country retirement.
