It’s the MasterChef Finals and in tonight’s penultimate show, the final four amateur cooks face an incredible challenge - cooking alongside an internationally renowned two Michelin starred chef. It’s the contestants’ last chance to prove they have what it takes, because tomorrow night only one of them will be crowned Champion.\n\nTonight they will be mentored by internationally-renowned chef Raymond Blanc. His hotel/restaurant Belmond Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons in Oxfordshire has held two Michelin stars for over 30 years. Although self taught, teaching and nurturing are at the core of Raymond’s ethos and Le Manoir has trained over 30 chefs who have gone on to earn Michelin stars of their own. \n\nNow, the four finalists will gain unique insight into Raymond’s cuisine as they learn directly from him and his Executive Chef Gary Jones in the MasterChef kitchen.\n\nEach amateur cook has four hours to meticulously recreate an iconic classic dish from Raymond’s menu at Belmond Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons. Once the four finalists have prepared their complex and precise dishes, they must serve them to Raymond and judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.\n\nFinally, the four amateurs are tasked with creating one exceptional dish for John and Gregg that will showcase their growing cooking talent. It’s their last chance to bring together everything they’ve learned; to let their creativity fly and prove they’re worthy finalists. This high-pressure cook-off will be the end of the journey for one of the four contestants as only three can make it through to the finals and take one step closer to becoming MasterChef Champion 2019.
