2018: Second Round - Part 1
The BBC Snooker season gets underway at the UK Championship, the first 'Triple Crown' event of the season. 128 players started out on Tuesday with up-and-coming rookies having a chance to take on the established stars in front of the York Barbican Centre crowd. On Saturday afternoon, the second round gets underway with players aiming for a place in the last 32. Hazel Irvine introduces live coverage, alongside former champions Steve Davis and John Parrott.
