Opening Ceremony
Clare Balding presents live coverage of the opening ceremony of the XXIII Winter Olympics from Pyeongchang, South Korea.\n\nThe Olympics return to South Korea thirty years after Seoul hosted the summer games in 1988, with over 3,000 athletes from at least 90 countries expected to descend on Pyeongchang.\n\nGreat Britain have high hopes of enjoying a successful Winter Olympics with a talented team that includes the likes of three-time short track speedskating world champion Elise Christie. Lizzy Yarnold will attempt to defend her skeleton title from Sochi 2014, one of four medals for the GB team in Russia. Snowboarding bronze medallist Jenny Jones has retired since Sochi, but Britain have a host of freestyle ski and snowboard stars ready to step into her shoes, such as Katie Ormerod and James Woods.
