Eric Knowles takes a trip down memory lane when he meets a man with an amazing vintage collection of comics. Phil Shrimpton has been collecting copies of the Beano and the Dandy since he was ten years old, trawling car boot sales and jumble sales for rare editions. The Dandy was launched in 1937 and the Beano followed eight months later, but Phil tells Eric that the most sought-after comics are from the 1960s and 70s, and those still with the original free gift.\n\nHoping for bumper bargains are two teams of friends shopping at treasure-filled antiques centres in the East Sussex town of Lewes. In red are old school pals Libby and Jordan, and in blue are work buddies Tom and Dom. With expert Serhat Ahmet by their side, the reds get their paws on a 1930s metal money box in the form of a bear. Meanwhile, Dom is 'moo-ved' by a Staffordshire flatback vase featuring a cow - until expert Catherine notices a telltale tag on it and a whopping great crack!\n\nIn Chichester, auctioneer Nick Hall has news for Eric about one team’s item that totally changes the odds!
