This episode comes from Kent, a county that has inspired painters such as JMW Turner and William Blake, but less well known is an artist by the name of Albert Goodwin. From the late 19th century to the early 20th century, Goodwin created more than 800 paintings. Eric Knowles visits his birth town of Maidstone to learn more about this underappreciated painter and his love of family and art. \n\nBrushing up on their bargain hunting are two teams of friends and sisters ready to rummage amongst the stalls at Detling antiques fair. In red are Tonia and her pal and fellow woman of the cloth Catherine, who hopes her golden nails will bring them luck. In blue are sisters Angie and Shirley, who plan to spend, spend, spend. With expert Jonathan Pratt by their side, the sisters start their shop by spotting a vintage wired chair, but the designer name comes with a designer price tag, so they move on. The reds, however, are marching to a different beat when they encounter a drum major’s staff. Expert Catherine Southon agrees it’s a talking point but doesn’t see a profit in it. Over in Chichester, auctioneer Nick Hall tries to drum up interest from the bidders in his historic saleroom. The gallery is packed with punters, but will they take a punt on the teams’ items?
