Roo Irvine visits west Wales, well known for its fascinating myths and legends. She learns about Merlin the wizard and a mysterious potato that was once used to ward off evil spirits! In Carmarthen, she speaks to folklore expert Dr Owen Williams about the origin of talismanic objects and a special oak tree that once grew in the centre of the market town – until a vengeful local man burnt it down! \n\nHoping to conjure up a few bargains in the neighbouring county of Pembrokeshire are two teams of bargain hunters. Shopping against the clock are friends Adele and Michelle – or the Welsh dragons, as they prefer to call themselves – along with Welsh expert Richard Madley. In blue are married couple Sarah and Pete, who like anything to do with cows and skulls, assisted by Izzie Balmer.\n\nWith the run of a sprawling antiques centre, the reds are first to spot a huge enamel teapot. The ticket is £20 too much, reckons Richard, but as he says, it costs nothing to look. Meanwhile, Pete is on the hunt for two cheap buys, so he’s not hooked when he sees a metal coat rack with a three-figure price tag.\n\nBack in Carmarthen, auctioneer Ian Taylor tries to conjure up profits for the teams, but will the result end up being the stuff of legends?
