Trees and colourful borders get attention from Kirsty and Brian at Beechgrove Garden.\n\nTwo years ago, Kirsty created a hot border - an area of planting designed to be full of vibrant colour at the height of summer. In this epsiode, she reviews what has worked and replaces some of the varieties that are not doing so well.\n\nMeanwhile, Brian has the saw and loppers out as he explains why this is the right time of year to give your trees a prune. He has also been to the shops to pick up a selection of plants typically available at your local supermarket, and he talks through how to look after the most common varieties.\n\nCalum has another report from his allotment at Leven, plus all the usual handy hints.
