Park registrar Ryan is charged with a vital role – to check in on how the youngest residents of the park are faring in the run-up to Christmas. The park is involved in multiple breeding programmes that help some of the most threatened animals on the planet, and this year, there have been a bumper crop of babies. Ryan has been making a list and is checking it twice - because babies have appeared all over the park. From the tiniest antelope to endangered monkeys and sea lion pups in the lake, every creature needs to be checked to ensure they are developing as they should be. Can Ryan get to all the babies before the big day?\n\nWe continue to follow the fortunes of the four Amur tiger cubs, which were born last summer. It’s their first Christmas at the park, and Ben and Kate are here to ensure it’s a wonderful one. The keepers have created some amazingly intricate toys constructed from some fire hose. They have never seen anything like this before, so everyone is excited to see what the cubs make of it. The moment they are released, the girls head out to investigate. Once mum shows them that it is safe, they tear into their toys. As is so often the case with youngsters, the wrapping is the most exciting bit!\n\nMegan and Hamza have also joined forces to create a festive taste test for the lemurs. In their native Madagascar, they would come across sweet and savoury treats as they forage through the trees, but which do they prefer? To find out, Hamza dresses a Christmas tree with carrots, while Megan dresses hers with sweet potato. As the lemurs are released, it’s anyone’s guess which they will go for - but there is talk of foul play in this Christmas game, as Megan may have added a bit of cranberry sauce to her tree in an attempt to win... surely not?
