Athletics takes centre stage for the first time at the Paris Games, while Team GB will hope to capitalise on some golden opportunities for medals in the diving and rowing.\n\nReigning world champion Josh Kerr begins his quest for another 1,500m gold, while Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita will be raring to go in the women’s 100m heats.\n\nDiver Jack Laugher will try to somersault his way to a fourth Olympic medal in the men’s synchronised 3m springboard final with partner Anthony Harding.
