American Simone Biles withdrew from the Games three years ago, citing a debilitating spatial awareness condition known as ‘the twisties’. She has since recovered and made a spectacular return to the international stage at last year’s World Championships, collecting four golds.\n\nTeam GB’s Joe Clarke is best remembered for his gold in Rio eight years ago, and he returns in the men’s kayak as the reigning world champion.
