Series 9: 8. Yate
Anna's love story with her husband, Shaun, began when they were just 14. They tied the knot at the age of 21 and called Yate their home for 26 years. Shaun was passionate about the garden, especially his veg patch and his lawn. Tragically, Shaun became ill with cancer and his battle ended in 2022 at the age of 63.\n\nNow, Anna's garden lies barren, with the veg patch wilting and too many painful reminders of Shaun's absence. Anna's dream is to transform this space into a shaded oasis reminiscent of their holidays in Palma Majorca. Their visits left an indelible mark, especially the memory of an Arabic shaded garden.\n\nShe would love Lee and Flo to create a memorial space with a water feature that provides a soothing backdrop where she can remember Shaun. Although her £6,000 budget won't recreate Palma, can Lee or Flo create a garden that gives a meaningful nod to those cherished memories, an oasis of solace – a tribute to the love she and Shaun shared?
