Jazzy Whipps and Benny Ngo take to our screens once more for this year’s See Hear on Tour: Yorkshire. The pair take to the wheel of their campervan on a road trip to discover the rich history and culture this county has to offer.\n\nAs they head into the centre of the city, their first stop is the Jorvik Museum in Coppergate where they uncover the history of the city's archaeology dating back thousands of years. As the tour continues they discover pottery, bones and much more from the Jorvik period in the 9th century, a period that derived from when the Vikings once settled in York. \n\nJazzy and Benny take trip down memory lane and discover the nation's favourite chocolate and find out more about the rich history of chocolate making in York and it being the home to the famous Rowntree’s factory. The pair get stuck in and have a lesson in Chocolate making as they make chocolate truffles. \n\nThe pair take a deep dive into the history of the York Deaf Social club as they meet manager Robert Hofschroer to discover its roots and the history of Deaf culture in Yorkshire dating back to 1928. Continuing on this historic theme, the pair head to the coastal town of Whitby to visit the ancient gothic ruins of Whitby Abbey, which dates back to the 7th century. The Abbey’s graveyard is also said to have inspired a character name in the famous 1897 novel Dracula, by Bram Stoker. \n\nLater we meet Amy Morton, a Yorkshire local to find out more about the deaf culture in Yorkshire and what this county has to offer. \n\nFor their final stop and just an hour north west of the city of York lies the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park where Jazzy, Benny and Amy take a walk on the wild side as they get ready for some adrenaline filled fun. The team discover How Stean Gorge, home of some of the UK’s most exciting and beautiful cave systems. The team grab their helmets and head lamps as they explore the underground caves, but how will they fair in such tight pitch black spaces… \n
