Series 17: 17. North East and Yorkshire Mains and Dessert
The three chefs are halfway through their heat, and the pressure is mounting. Once again, they each serve their unique interpretations of the brief celebrating 100 years of British broadcasting.\n\nFor mains, one chef is taking inspiration from the first royal Christmas message on the radio, another is celebrating Strictly Come Dancing, and a third has created an ode to Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. For dessert, we see a celebration of Darling Buds of May, a dish inspired by period drama Downton Abbey and a tribute to the London 2012 Olympics. \n\nOnly two will proceed to cook for the judges and have a chance to represent Yorkshire and north east England at the regional finals.
