Samuel Ash investigates why children of Deaf adults (CODAs) are still being used as interpreters for their parents in emergencies and sensitive situations. He chats with Annie and Sue about the loss of their father/husband and how, because an interpreter wasn’t provided, Annie had to interpret for her father when he received the news that he had an aggressive form of cancer that was terminal.\n\nSamuel learns from CODA UK and Ireland about the psychological impact of CODAs having to interpret for their parents and hears from the NHS and Sheffield Hospital Trust about what steps they are taking to ensure that it doesn’t happen again.\n\nIn the 'studio', Yvonne and Julian have a catch up with Sophie Stone, a member of the Green Room podcast for deaf and disabled theatre professionals and artists run by DH Ensemble and Hot Coal Productions. Yvonne and Julian learn about the goals of the Green Room and how the guests were recruited.\n\nYvonne is back in her kitchen, this time for a spot of baking! Yvonne shows us how to make cinnamon swirls that goes well with a cuppa to celebrate spring and Easter.\n\nFinally, Kori Kaur reports on the mental health impact that body image can have on people- especially during the lockdown. Kori hears personal anecdotes from people who have struggled with their body image and learns more about body dysmorphia and the steps that people can take to have a positive body image.
