Gabby Logan is live on The Mall as the best elite athletes line up for the 40th London Marathon – one of the great days in the British sporting calendar.\n\nIn the bio-bubble of St James’s Park, the best women, men and wheelchair racers in the world battle it out for the title, while 45,000 runners around the world take part in the virtual London Marathon.\n\nThe women’s elite race is first off at 7.15am. Defending champion and world record-holder Brigid Kosgei is the one they all have to beat, and she could well set a new world’s best time today.\n\nCommentary is provided by Steve Cram and Andrew Cotter, with coverage continuing at 10am on BBC1.
