It is only one week before Ginger has to go home. She plans on squeezing in as much quality time with all her family members before she leaves. Matt needs help cleaning his van up for the food inspector, Robbie needs a second eye on his band posters, Corey is sorting costumes for the theatre and Bob is painting Corey's new home office. Ginger is looking forward to getting into all of the different projects with her family until her dad calls with some news. He is going to be on the next flight to the UK and is taking Ginger home earlier than expected. Ginger now has to squeeze seven days of quality time into one day. She starts by helping Bob clear out the storage room. While she does that she finds a box that belonged to her mum. Now she has a dilemma. She really wants to look through the box, but she knows she's promised everyone to help them. She decides to stay away from the box until she's kept her word. That proves difficult because everyone is moving super slowly and nothing is going right. Bob wants to draw a mural on the office wall and Ginger has flooded Matt's van with water. Ginger confides in Corey and Corey tells Ginger it's okay to check out the box. When she does, Ginger learns that her mum buried a time capsule nearby with a secret letter hidden inside of it. Now the only thing Ginger can focus on is getting to Naismith Point so she can find the time capsule. Before she can get away, Ginger is asked to fulfill her various promises. With Bob, Robbie, Matt and Corey breathing down her neck, Ginger tells them all about the time capsule. They all tell Ginger that she has to find that time capsule. Corey takes Ginger out to Naismith Point, but they forget to bring spades. Thankfully Bob, Matt and Robbie turn up to help them out. Not too long after, Ginger finds the time capsule - a connection to her mother's life from 25 years ago. Ginger reads the letter that her mum buried. Ginger finds out that her mum moved to Australia after meeting her dad in the UK one summer. It was love at first sight and an adventure that eventually lead to Ginger's parents getting married. Meanwhile, Ethan is on a mission. He borrows clothes from all around the house and uses them to create a bizarre new look. When Robbie corners him, Ethan admits that he's planning on infiltrating a designer's fashion show so that he can take it down from the inside. Ethan's look isn't enough to get him in the door, however, and he returns home defeated. Chris crawls into the vents to look for his novel. He doesn't find his book, but he does have quite an adventure. Matt's van, however, does pass despite an inauspicious inspection.
